System Engineer - Archdiocese of Brisbane (2024 - Present)

 
Taking on this new role has allowed me to lead project work focused on enhancing and maintaining systems, ensuring seamless operations across in an which uses Windows, O365, Azure, with infrastructure including VMware, Fortinet and Juniper.
  • Administering Windows environments with Office 365 integration, ensuring business continuity and secure access to cloud services.
  • Managing Azure Active Directory for identity and access management, streamlining user authentication and ensuring secure access to resources.
  • Managing and optimising Fortinet and Juniper infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routing configurations to maintain high levels of security and performance.
  • Managing endpoint protection with CrowdStrike, delivering robust defence against advanced threats and conducting regular security assessments using Rapid7 to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across the network.
  • Administering SQL server environments with integrations to third-party programs, ensuring server and database health and optimisation.

Junior Systems Administrator - Archdiocese of Brisbane (2023 - 2024)

 
Acting as the first point of contact for issues that are escalated to the Infrastructure team, I perform system administrative tasks on servers, client PCs and both virtual and physical infrastructure. Other duties include: 
  • Ensuring security, efficiency and upkeeping of IT infrastructure.
  • Developing internal documentation and training to other staff.
  • Troubleshooting technical and network server problems and providing technical assistance.

Client Services Technician - Archdiocese of Brisbane (2022 - 2023)

 
A newly created role within the company for handling more advanced/technical tickets through escalations from the Service Desk and allowing for more time to work on projects outside of the scope of normal Service Desk duties: 
  •  Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and problem solving skills by resolving escalated tickets.
  • Ensuring Applied resolutions meet required governance, security and documentation standards.
  • Demonstrate technical skills and project management capabilities through ongoing self management of projects.

Service Desk Analyst - Archdiocese of Brisbane (2021 - 2022)

 
Moving towards working in the technology sector has led me to undertake a Service Desk Analyst role with the Archdiocese of Brisbane, and I have expanded my knowledge and understanding in: 
  • Ticketing systems and incident response.
  • Resolving various hardware and software issues and problems.
  • Organisational and communicational skills. 

Team Member - Bunnings Warehouse (2017 - 2021)

 
While working with Bunnings, I have been involved in the opening of two new stores, which has helped me enhance my skills. I have gained experience with handling cash, customer service and various filing systems, and my role has encompassed but not been limited to: 
  • Solving a range of customer issues and implementing customer feedback. 
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Ability to delegate and direct customers and contractors to the appropriate place. 

Team Leader - HOYTS Australia (2015 - 2018)

 While working at HOYTS Cinemas, I was promoted to the HOST Team (team leadership) and have had a lot of experience handling money, interacting with customers, training staff members, and have been involved in multiple evacuations of the whole site. My role encompassed but was not limited to: 
  • Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators. 
  • Speaking to large volumes of people at once. 
  • Assisting with the coordination of functions and events. 
  • Ability to evaluate other team members and work with them to improve performance.

Bachelor of Information Technology, major in Information Systems (grad. 2019)

 
I have graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology after studying for three and a half years, majoring in Information Systems. My experience through these years has allowed me to develop and hone many skills, including: 
  • Knowledge of several programming languages (HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, SQL). 
  • Understanding of IS architectures and methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with project management and IT/Business alignment.
